BanHammer Forum Rules
Welcome to BanHammer! Because of the uniqueness of BanHammer there are two sets of rules. The first set is for "The Playground". The Playground is set up with minimal rules. But, rules that are necessary for legal reasons. We've tried to keep the rule set as small as possible so The Playground has a wider range of permissible actions. (Such as arguing, flaming, baiting, trolling, drive-by's etc.)
The second forum, mirrors The Playground and is called The Classroom. The Classroom is a regular moderated forum so all the forum rules here will have The Playground rules plus other rules you maybe familiar with. The third is The Gym Class. This forum is for categories that fall outside of anything that could be added to the previous two. The Gym Class follows the same rules as The Classroom. The Board is explained below.
The break of the rules will be stated and anything that is in The Playground applies to The Classroom/The Gym Class/The Board.

By posting on the BanHammer.org forums, you agree to all the following board rules.

All posts have 30 minute period where you can edit your post. After 30 minutes you will no longer be able to edit your post. If you need something changed after your 30 minutes are up, either pm a Moderator or a Administrator or post it in Trouble Tickets and someone will change it for you. Because of the nature of the board, it is important that once the post has been looked at then left alone or modded as necessary, we cannot have anyone comeback and stealth edit their post.
The Board section has the same rules a The Classroom. But, be aware that there is even more strict moderation about topic and thread drift. Trouble Tickets contain only questions about about the forum for members and explanation of Moderator and Administrator actions as it is deemed appropriate. Banning members, either topic ban, limited ban or permanent ban, will be discussed in The Detention forum. Unless a Trouble Ticket is moved to Trouble Tickets Answered, the thread is open for discussion amongst all members of BanHammer and BanHammer staff. If it gets moved to Trouble Tickets Answered then the subject is closed and will be frowned upon if a copycat thread is started in Trouble Tickets without legitimate concern or reason. If you do have a follow-up question or need a clearer explanation then pm or e-mail the Moderator or Administrator who did the action.
Threads started in any of the Forums (The Board, The Playground, The Classroom, The Gym Class) will stay in the associated forum and will not be moved to another forum, even if the member who starts the thread asks. Threads will and can be moved from within each forum from one category to another if need be. So, think before you start a thread in any one of the forums.
If you wish to report a specific post please use the report button that is displayed at the bottom of all posts. Do not post these in Trouble Tickets.
If you have a question concerning a specific forum category, please e-mail or pm that Moderator of that forum or post it in Trouble Tickets. If the forum has no assigned moderator you can pm any forum active moderator or Administrator.
Do not contact Administrator mystic or the Forum Administrator. Although they are active you will not get a response from either of them.

The forum moderators ladder of responsibility: Moderators answer to Administrators which in turn answers to the Forum Administrator. Appeals can be sent, via e-mail to any forum active Administrator. The final arbiter, of any decision is the Forum Administrator.

- BanHammer.org is a forum open to the internet community as a whole. Therefore BanHammer.org and all people involved with running this forum are not responsible for the contents posted on BanHammer.org, nor is BanHammer.org responsible for any actions done, in both on internet activity or activity based in real life. By posting, reading or viewing pictures made by any member or poster of BanHammer.org becomes the sole responsibility of that member.
- All posts, in the BanHammer forum must be in English. I know this seems unfair but we don't not have the available volunteer staff to see the contents of posts in other languages. A small bit of another language can be used to emphasise or be creative with a post but more than a sentence the post in question will be altered. Any posts in a language other than English will be deleted completely with no discussion.
- No illegal pictures. This includes child porn and anything that could be construed as excessive. Any pictures that are extreme, naked, gore etc. you must put Not Safe For Work (NSFW) in the thread title. This is a universal warning that the post has disturbing pictures or content. Do not take this warning lightly when in The Playground most content will be allowed. So, enter at your own risk. If you are unsure ask someone in the staff if it is ok before posting it.
- No illegal links. This includes child porn and anything that could be construed as too excessive. No links to spam, trojans or any kind of link that can harm a computer. Linking to a outside forum is ok, especially if you are bringing the argument from that forum. Any links to pictures of naked adults or disturbing pics MUST have a disclaimer in the post. If you are unsure ask someone in the staff if it is ok before posting it.
- Please, do not embed video from sites such as YouTube, Vimeo or any of the number of sites out there that offer video clips or shows. When embedding videos they use a lot of bandwidth and with too many it will slow the board down. Linking to video is fine as long as it doesn't violate rule #2.
- Threats of physical or psychological harm to anyone at anytime becomes the responsibility of the member that made the threat and absolves BanHammer.org forum and staff from any consequences that may occur between the two parties or all parties involved.
- Posting of personal information on BanHammer.org forum or pm system becomes the responsibility of the member or staff that posts such information. By posting any personal information either on the forum or on the pm system the member or staff recognizes that any fault of consequence, negative or good is recognized by the member or staff posting personal information, that they are full responsible and absolves BanHammer.org or any Administrator, Moderator or Forum Administrator of any wrong doing by other members or staff of BanHammer.org.
As always, if you are unsure, please contact any Moderator or Administrator.
- Giving of medical advice of any kind including both physical and mental, becomes the responsibility of both the member giving the advice and the member receiving that advice. Any BanHammer member that takes the advice and uses it in their own personal life absolves BanHammer.org and the BanHammer staff of any consequences that occurs because of the advice.
- You can report posts but you cannot petition to have a user be banned. This decision is for moderators only so let them do their job.
- Be respectful of all moderators and Administrators when they are taking moderation actions. Otherwise, any Moderator or Administrator that is only participating, on this forum, as a poster, must respect the forum as any member must and is responsible for their own actions. He must also respect moderation by other Moderators or Administrators of their posts and actions. Moderators and Administrators DO NOT receive special treatment. This allows any staff member to participate, in any discussion as a normal poster and any other member should not feel oppressed or feel they have to be careful as to what they say to any staff member as long as that staff members is participating as a normal poster. You can distinguish normal posting and moderator posting by the colour of their text. Any red text is the Moderator or Administrator posting. Any other text colour is regular posting. Moderators cannot moderate their own posts. Moderators and Administrators can moderate in the same thread they are participating in.
- Do not change back any altered post or personal account information that a Administrator or Moderator has altered.
- Keep all advertisements in its forum. This includes anything that is soliciting money, actual business's, things like ebay or the like, just straight advertisements. Remember Rule 5 is still in effect on this forum.
- Because we cannot have rules for every situation, rule 13 is designed for moderators to give warnings, alter posts, ban members and all other moderating decisions that are not in the spirit of BanHammer.
- Not knowing BanHammers board rules is not a excuse for breaking them.
- Sockpuppets, either if your active or have been banned will result in a immediate permanent ban from BanHammer, with no appeal.
- Any posts and its contents becomes the property of BanHammer.org with which BanHammer.org can do with what they will.
This ends the rules for The Playground. Below is additional rules for The Classroom/The Gym Class/The Board.
- Be respectful to all members at all times.
- All, links and pictures cannot contain anything that is offensive. If you have a need to post disturbing links or pictures take it to The Playground. This replaces rules 1 and 2.
- No attacks or disparaging remarks or direct attacks about races, religions or cultures. You can post constructive criticisms. If you are unsure about what you want to post contact a moderator or Administrator.
- Keep offensive language to a minimum. Some harsh words are accceptable if it is kept in context to your post. If you need clarification, post in Trouble Tickets of pm or e-mail and Moderator or Administrator.
- Do not threaten another member at anytime. This replaces rule 4.
- Do not give medical advice, physical or mental at any time. This replaces rule 6.
